Featured in Florida Tennis: Racquet Sports Has Never Had a Stage Like This

Florida Tennis published my article on SMASH 2026. The piece is called Racquet Sports Has Never Had a Stage Like This, and it is about the IAPPF conference and expo coming to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, November 17 to 19.

I wrote it for a specific reader. A Florida club director or owner who is weighing a court conversion, a multi-sport buildout, or a new facility, and making that call right now with incomplete information. That describes most of the racquet sports business in this state.

One paragraph from the piece, because it is the whole argument:

"Every club weighing a court conversion, a multi-sport buildout, or a new revenue line is making that decision with incomplete information right now."

Full disclosure, the same one I made in the article. I have spent the last several months working with IAPPF and the International Padel Cluster on the padel side of this event. I am not a neutral observer. I helped build the room. That is exactly why I wanted the piece in Florida Tennis and not just on my own site.

If you are weighing a conversion or a build, November in Orlando is where the answers are. Come find me there.

Go find your court.
